Big Christmas video time! Let’s talk about the origins of some festive traditions and consider the stupid question posed by Answers In Genesis: “Is Christmas Pagan?”. Merry crimble (:
Notes from Emma Thorn: “Turns out I was taking for granted the notion that Pope Julius decreed the official Christmas celebration to be December 25th! This claim comes only from a letter quoted in a 9th Century source and is therefore pretty spurious. The more you know :)”
Hold it – what’s with the new name? No more “Toy Galaxy”? It’s “Secret Galaxy” now? Well, okay then… Let’s talk about DuckTales. DuckTales is an animated television series produced by Disney Television Animation. The original cartoon series premiered on syndication and on Disney Channel on September 18, 1987 and ran for a total of 100 episodes while also helping to create The Disney Afternoon block. Ducktales follows Scrooge McDuck, his three grandnephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie, and close friends of the group, on various adventures.
But Ducktales was far from a sure thing when it debuted as nothing like it had been attempted and the fallout from it helped to create Fox Kids in a fight that would last more than a decade.
Have we forgotten something? Well, it’s the year 2022… the year the movie “Soylent Green” takes place. Let’s Minty take a look at this movie, based on the book “Make Room! Make Room!” This book is a 1966 science fiction novel written by Harry Harrison exploring the consequences of both unchecked population growth on society and the hoarding of resources by a wealthy minority.[1] It was originally serialized in Impulse magazine.
Set in a future August 1999, the novel explores trends in the proportion of world resources used by the United States and other countries compared to population growth, depicting a world where the global population is seven billion people, plagued with overcrowding, resource shortages and a crumbling infrastructure. The plot jumps from character to character, recounting the lives of people in various walks of life in New York City, population 35 million.
The novel was the basis of the 1973 science fiction movie Soylent Green, although the film changed much of the plot and theme and introduced cannibalism as a solution to feeding people.
Christmas is around the corner and beloved children stories are told once more. Stories we inherit from our parents. But to some of these stories there’s a dark side. Some of these stories subconsciously try to get children to accept certain circumstances for granted rather than to question them.
An adult engaged in writing a book for children may well intend to present a life-affirming vision that communicates cultural values and traditions, but at the same time that adult may consciously or unconsciously induce, even seduce, the child to accept and repeat the neurotic discontents of culture and civilization.

Willy Wonka is such a beloved children’s fiction character. But is he actually as sweet as he appears? Or is there a bitter darkness that lurks beneath his sugary surface?
This is a video from münecat. She’s looking into all the hype surrounding Web3, blockchain technology, NFTs, and trying to work out WHY this is all happening. The Folding Ideas video ‘Line Goes Up’ came out as she was researching this, and she found that even though they had come to the same conclusion on many aspects of this, she actually came to a different conclusion as to why she think this is all happening – and it’s much more dystopian than most people think. Definetely worth a look.
Soon it will be Christmas and we want to tell a now old story again, perhaps to finally end it. The title of this story:
The Downfall Of Channel Awesome
Yes, it may seem strange, but let’s revisit this awkward story. Let’s try to understand it. And then we let it go. The end of a very chaotic year 2022 – 12022 in the human era – with a flashback to a very chaotic ending.
In this first installment of the series “Bad Actors on the Right,” join Maggie Mae Fish, as we go back in time and see that Donald Trump hasn’t changed at all from reality TV host to ex-President.
While fondly remembered now, NBC’s Buck Rogers in the 25th Century wasn’t on for very long and was cancelled in the middle of a season, partly because of the behind the camera fighting.

So you might have heard about this thing. Established Titles has become a commonly known youtube sponsor; they’re a cute gift idea that’s supposed to allow you to become a ‘Lord’ or ‘Lady’, should you choose. Recently, they’ve taken heavy fire, and allegations of them being a complete and total scam have cast them, and their advocates, under the spotlight. Is Established Titles a legitimate company with a few skeletons in their closet? A complete and total scam? Or should we really be casting that spotlight on the ones making the allegations in the first place? Let’s look into it in two ways. First the iilluminaughtii:
