In “Trials and Tribble-ations,” the crew of Deep Space Nine time-travels back to the original series era to prevent a rogue Klingon from altering history by assassinating Captain Kirk. While there, they cross paths with the crew of the Enterprise and inadvertently get embroiled in a tribble-related conundrum. The episode is a loving tribute to the original series, complete with seamless integration of DS9 characters into classic TOS footage.
