John Oliver discusses what’s happened since the U.S. withdrew from Afghanistan, how their ongoing crisis has even more to do with our decisions than you might think, and how to properly modify the verb “feel”.
Let’s use this Sunday to look around. Here we have Broey Deschanel having some valuable thoughts. Is it time to say farewell to cinema? Let’s find out.
It’s music time again! This Time: Evolution of Meme Music is a video in which I show how meme music has evolved over the last 500 years. These musical pieces from the memes have been arranged for the piano by Lord Vinheteiro.
The best way to see how diverse our world is is through music. Here is Vinheitero introducing us to these different styles of music. He plays the different pieces on the piano, the countries are arranged in alphabetical order:
Especially in social media, soy is conspicuously often associated with feminization of men. This is often based on individual case reports or animal studies. The scientific data is thin and conflicting, but observational studies and clinical studies do not give cause for concern.
A technical review from 2021 evaluated 417 studies on the possible hormonal effects of soy. Of these, 229 were observational studies, 157 clinical studies and 32 systematic reviews or meta-studies. The authors conclude that soy:
does not have a negative effect on the thyroid gland,
has no negative impact on breast tissue,
has no negative impact on the estrogen balance of women,
has no negative influence on the testosterone balance in men,
has no negative impact on sperm quantity or quality
no negative influence of isoflavone intake in children could be determined.
The scientists conclude that based on the data, isoflavones cannot be classified as endocrine disruptors. Lately we have presented a video from Emma Thorne, where she debunks a YouTuber talking about how “evil” soy is. She was wondering why this myth is still around. Some time ago Hbomberguy has made some videos about it and we see where the myth is coming from:
Emma Thorne has not yet been presented here, describes herself as being just a little duck trying their best, shows high energy silliness combined with British snark, taking on religion, LGBTQ+ rights and conspiracy theories.
In this video she talks about the “Soy Conspiracy” and how it’s not died down as it should. We’re listening to a cringetastic meme-lord explain why Soy is “the devil”. At least its a good opportunity to debunk one of the stupidest conspiracies of the red pill community!
Welcome to the Corporate Casket, a semiweekly series where bad businesses go to die. We will discuss any and everything from bad charities, terrible CEOs, and businesses that have a lot to hide.
In the 1990s and early 2000s, there seemed to be no brighter star than R Kelly. He seemed to release hit after hit and his bizarre music videos and beautiful r&b sound garnered mass attention, rewards, and fans throughout his career. But, there was a darker side to the singer hidden in the background. His horrific actions remained in the shadows, thanks —-in part—- to the music industry seemingly refusing to lose one of their brightest stars. But after a groundbreaking documentary, it all came crashing down and this once admired star has now become one of the most hated people in the music industry.
Pokemon now has a much better name! Pikachu and Clefairy are now into being spinner tops! (This video is intended for a mature audience, not children.)
Deep thoughts are important, especially in these times. Sarah Z has such thoughts regularly. Let’s see if we can accommodate them here as well. This post is about fan fiction and the question of whether it is art. Have a look here:
The Most Oblivious Flat Earther in Existence! Santos is back with an interesting set of videos he is calling “Globetardery Exposed”. How lovely of him hey. Well it turns out Santos exposes himself many many times. He is just oblivious at times, and it’s rather funny.
It’s midnight. Well, somewhere in the world it is… so let’s try this nightmare. Let’s see what it’s all about: Disney World. Fun fact: Did you know you could watch this video TWICE while waiting in line for Tower of Terror? Yep.
Steve Shives is into STAR TREK, but sometimes he comments on what is going on in this world. In this case it is about what is going on in the USA with the FBI making an investigation on Mar-A-Lago (or however you spell the name of this cursed place). These are his remarks:
After the cancellation of The Original Series, Star Trek was briefly brought back in animated form with Star Trek The Animated Series. How does it stack up?
