In America, many things are now considered “political” that were once simply part of life. And many things that are considered “political” are banned from schools so that children do not come into contact with them. This also applies to the so-called “Scholastic Book Fairs”. The (conservative) saying goes: “There are two genders: male and political; there are two races: white and political; there are two sexual orientations: straight and political”.
