As a cis woman, she is adding her voice to the discussion about women’s spaces. Are gender criticals out to protect safe spaces for women? Gender Critical ideology, previously known as “trans-exclusionary radical feminism” or “TERF”, claims to be feminist while sounding like the opposite. Isn’t. That. Weird?
Let’s have a look at the history of White Feminism, all the way from the fight for women’s suffrage, the women’s liberation movements of the 60s, up until the present day & the current attacks on women’s rights by the Christian Conservative & Far Right; how might the exclusionary tendencies of white feminists mirror the current push against trans rights by so-called “gender criticals” aka TERFs? And why do they keep falling into misogynistic, biological essentialist, sexist dichotomies in order to exclude trans women from their feminism?

The Secret is a self-help book & film, published in 2006. Based on the New Thought concept of the Law of Attraction. In this video Mica explores how the ideology taught by The Secret not only upholds Neoliberal Capitalism, but why it also might exacerbate the harm done within it. She also looks at why so many celebrities endorse this idea & how this has helped such harmful ideas disseminate so successfully.
So many celebrities, from Oprah Winfrey to Jim Carey, from Russell Brand to Denzel Washington buy into Law of Attraction ideology – is it any wonder this nonsense is everywhere?

Brexit, short for “British exit,” refers to the United Kingdom’s decision to leave the European Union (EU). After a referendum in June 2016, where 51.9% of voters chose to leave, the UK officially left the EU on January 31, 2020.

The aftermath of Brexit has been tumultuous for the UK, with significant economic, political, and social consequences. The UK’s departure from the EU has resulted in trade disruptions, a decline in foreign investment, and a loss of jobs. It has also created uncertainty for businesses and individuals, particularly in industries such as finance and agriculture.

Additionally, Brexit has raised questions about the future of the United Kingdom itself, with Scotland and Northern Ireland considering independence from the UK to maintain ties with the EU. The decision to leave the EU has also created tensions within the UK, particularly between those who supported Brexit and those who opposed it.

Mica from the channel Ponderful is one Brit in EU, and she tells her story of how the Stop Brexit campaign was used not to stop Brexit, but to prevent a progressive government in the UK. She says, she’s more angry at the People’s Vote & Remain campaigners than she is with the Tories for the mess that is Brexit. At least the Tories were open about what they wanted.
