Welcome to the Corporate Casket, a semiweekly series where bad businesses go to die. We will discuss any and everything from bad charities, terrible CEOs, and businesses that have a lot to hide.
Chiropractors are considered doctors by some, scammers by others. The actual evidence for their practices just isn’t there, and while Chiropractors may chase after that ‘crack’ or their patient’s wallet, it can cause real harm for patients that are relying on said cracks for pain relief.
Today we’re taking a look at a video by “Off The Kirb Ministries”, from their delightful “apocalypse” playlist. It might be one of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen, but it contains a GREAT cow story. Like and subscribe if you enjoyed!
After her first video Xiran Jay Zhao was more or less obligated to continue. So she took a look at the original Mulan movie of the Disney Corp from 1998.
Each month we’ll count down the 20 most watched videos on the official Eurovision Song Contest YouTube channel. The chart will include official music videos, national final/live/preview performances and, of course, Eurovision Song Contest performances, taking a slightly longer look at the new entries and climbers.
Please note: this month we are adding together the views of 2022 Semi-Final and Grand Final performances, and taking the Grand Final performance as the chart entry (unless the song did not qualify).
Data is compiled using the official Eurovision Song Contest YouTube channel views from the full calendar month just gone, and we’re taking January 2020 as the starting point for our charts.
The 1981 Spider-Man series introduced us to Goron, the man with weird eye powers and an elaborate backstory never to be explained! (This video is intended for a mature audience, not children.)
Xiran Jay Zhao is a writer living in Canada. But it was Disney who brought her to make a YouTube channel, the remake of “Mulan” to be exact. She was disappointed by this movie and everything it did culturally wrong. Let’s take a look at what she has to say:

When cars were first introduced to the American public they were portrayed as the new, exciting, invention of the future. Quickly, the world seemed to be built around them with roads popping up everywhere and sidewalks being dismantled to make more room. But, what seemed like it would be a futuristic utopia has turned into a nightmare. No one walks anymore, we are more isolated from each other than ever before, and driving has become a dangerous and tedious task.
Our live is all about stories, so have you ever wondered what is probably the oldest story we know?
Long before the Epic of Gilgamesh, before the Proto-Indo-Europeans, before the last mini-ice age, before the well-known Australian aboriginal stories, before that our ancestors were hunter-gatherers and told stories about their lives, what caused them to try the understand the world around them.
So what is the oldest story ever told? Well, one story was so popular it still exists today, and researchers call it the Cosmic Hunt. This video explains how we found out that this is the oldest story in the world, how it evolved and varied around the world, and how we can recreate it. A history that we can date with some accuracy, given the time scales, and that has produced many variants in Eurasia and America. It’s probably the oldest story we know, but that doesn’t mean an older one couldn’t be reconstructed, and that’s what will be touched upon.
There is a body of good research on the subject, some of which I have mentioned below, with stories of a hunter or hunters tracking down a large animal before something happens that affects the cosmos and the night sky.
Welcome to a world where humans eat birds, mammoths, gods and heroes, and welcome to the cosmic hunt!
Crecganford is a channel from an academic producing videos discussing Indo-European mythology, history, and culture. From the Vikings to the Vedas, from Zeus to Zoroastrianism, and from Sacrifices to Spirituality. We talk about Europe’s earliest people, the farmers, the Proto Indo-Europeans, and the cultures and religions that followed.
The main publications he refers to in this video are:
The Cosmic Hunt: Variants of a Siberian-North American Myth by Yuri Berezkin
A cosmic hunt in the Berber skies: a phylogenetic reconstruction of a Paleolithic mythology by Julien d’Huy
The Constellation of Orion and the Cosmic Hunt in Equatorial Africa by Vincent Vieira
On the Cosmic Hunt in North Eurasian Rock Painting by Enn Ernits
Scientific American also published an article by Julien d’Huy in December 2016 which is easy to read, although there is a fee to do so.
Gender critical, aka TERF, views are a pipeline to more radicalization issues, and transphobia is being weaponized to stoke authoritarianism, so we need to discuss it.
In this we combine four videos from Jessie Gender, where she talks about Transphobia in direct reaction of statements by JK Rowling and later William Shatner. In the first place the statements were Tweets, then an essay Rowling wrote. Around the same time Shatner made his statement. The videos are about two years old, but nothing has changed since then. If there was any change, it was to the worse. We fear that all this comes up somewhen soon, so here are Jessie’s views:
