The way this series has built up and released tension over episodes, arcs, and now the entire season has been masterful. Rix Road was just a nonstop stream of fantastic scenes, one after another. Nemik’s manifesto, Maarva’s speech, and the chaos it caused…Andor stuck the landing with ease, and I can’t wait for season two!

DuckTales is an animated television series produced by Disney Television Animation. The original cartoon series premiered on syndication and on Disney Channel on September 18, 1987 and ran for a total of 100 episodes while also helping to create The Disney Afternoon block. Ducktales follows Scrooge McDuck, his three grandnephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie, and close friends of the group, on various adventures.
But Ducktales was far from a sure thing when it debuted as nothing like it had been attempted and the fallout from it helped to create Fox Kids in a fight that would last more than a decade.

Make Room!” This book is a 1966 science fiction novel written by Harry Harrison exploring the consequences of both unchecked population growth on society and the hoarding of resources by a wealthy minority.[1] It was originally serialized in Impulse magazine.
Set in a future August 1999, the novel explores trends in the proportion of world resources used by the United States and other countries compared to population growth, depicting a world where the global population is seven billion people, plagued with overcrowding, resource shortages and a crumbling infrastructure. The plot jumps from character to character, recounting the lives of people in various walks of life in New York City, population 35 million.
The novel was the basis of the 1973 science fiction movie Soylent Green, although the film changed much of the plot and theme and introduced cannibalism as a solution to feeding people.

Christmas is around the corner and beloved children stories are told once more. Stories we inherit from our parents. But to some of these stories there’s a dark side. Some of these stories subconsciously try to get children to accept certain circumstances for granted rather than to question them.
An adult engaged in writing a book for children may well intend to present a life-affirming vision that communicates cultural values and traditions, but at the same time that adult may consciously or unconsciously induce, even seduce, the child to accept and repeat the neurotic discontents of culture and civilization.
